Spectro™ PMD
The Spectro PMD brings lab-grade color testing directly to the production floor. It integrates a vibratory feeder that takes a small, representative sample of granules from the production stream and passes them under a spectrophotometric probe. It performs real-time, automated color analysis, comparing the granules to a predefined standard and calculating Delta E values on the fly. If the color deviates beyond the acceptable threshold, the system immediately issues an alert, allowing for fast corrective actions.
After measurement, the granules are returned to the production line, ensuring no material waste. The system operates continuously and autonomously, supporting Industry 4.0 integration and helping to maintain consistent color quality with minimal manual intervention. Since Spectro PMD’s launch, it was successfully installed at global compound manufacturers across the world.
